Digital transformation without a good data analytics tool providing real time and in depth insight into the collected data would have been near to impossible to achieve. Through Qlik Sense eGov Africa was able to quickly gain insight that has helped the development of provinces in DRC as well as aided in direct closure of numerous corruption cases. It’s tremendous analytical power has provided understandings of the population of DRC that up to now has been unknow.
The eGov System has been built on the modern low code application development platform of Outsystems. It has been instrumental in the success of eGov Africa in its work to bring digital security and justice to the people of DRC and to strengthen the governmental institution. The unprecedented flexibility and efficiency of the system was exactly what eGov Africa needed to quickly meet the challenges on the ground.

Bjarte Karlsen, Chairman of the board
With a passion for transforming sectors and industries through digitization, Bjarte Karlsen has been a driving force for pioneering solutions ranging from genetics to good governance (e-governance). Karlsen has 20 years in IT development, and was CEO for 7 years in the bioinformatics industry, he has led a successful expansion internationally. He spent 11 years of his childhood in the DRC, and is well acquainted with African culture, and speaks Swahili fluently.Irene Kinunda Afriyie, Board member
Irene Kinunda Afriyie is a public debater and active in newspaper, radio and television programs. She is a regular guest commentator in Bergens Tidende. Has a master’s degree in intercultural studies with specialization in diversity and management. Currently working in Color Games as an artistic and administrative consultant. Also teaches social sciences at Nygård school. Irene is committed and holds both board positions and is a member of resource groups.Øyvind Kommedal, MD, PhD, Board member
Doctor and specialist in diagnostic microbiology. His most important interest and research activities are in the development and implementation of new molecular tests for the detection of pathogens and outbreaks. Spent eight years of his childhood in the DRC.

Always ready to contribute to the development of the DRC via the digital eGov system For Chimene; e-governance is a very important management tool in the smooth running of traceability, the fight against corruption and transparency for a country with a vision of development.
Five years of experience in this field, as Director of Operations, young involved in the digital improvement of the whole world; also committed to supporting eGov in its goals and bright future.

Determined for the change and the development of the DRC, Rosine is part of a group young professionals passionate about this fact.

Roland Iragi Mihigo, a highly skilled professional in the field of computer science, has been a valuable member of the local support team at Verdidra Sarlu DRC since February 2022. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the renowned International University of East Africa in Kampala, Uganda, Roland’s commitment to advancing technology in the Democratic Republic of Congo is truly commendable.
His primary areas of expertise encompass coding, exploring cutting-edge digital technologies, and diving into the exciting world of artificial intelligence. Roland thrives on challenging opportunities that allow him to fully utilize his skills, making significant contributions not only to the development of his homeland but also to the overall progress of African nations.
