Improving Public Service Delivery through Citizen-Centric e-Governance

African countries facing institutional fragility are increasingly turning to digital tools to strengthen governance structures. This project focuses on embedding digital processes across public institutions to enhance administrative efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement.

The reform strategy includes the digitization of public records, the introduction of e-governance platforms for service delivery, and the automation of budget execution systems. By reducing manual paperwork and streamlining workflows, governments can improve response times and reduce opportunities for rent-seeking behavior.

Particularly in fragile or post-conflict contexts, digitization helps restore public trust by offering visible improvements in service accessibility and accountability. When paired with open-data policies and participatory planning platforms, digital governance becomes a lever for inclusive recovery and democratic resilience.

This project also highlights the importance of investing in digital literacy for public servants and creating legal frameworks that support data protection, interoperability, and citizen privacy.
